20191218 Lidar Offline

Lidar computer was offline since 12/16/2019, computer was frozen on arrival.
Computer power-cycled which seemed to have fixed it. Sergio was able to sign in with logmein.
2 days of data lost.

20191206 WP Connection Issues

Windprofiler not updated on website for last 2 Days, onsite trailer lock was located inside the the trailer on the door. Software looks good, internet says it has 100Mb connection on IP address 192.168.1.101 .

Disconnected and reconnected computer to router, didn't fix it.
Power cycled the router, didn't fix it.
Computer restarted 12:33CST, when running windtemp_FTP task the command prompt only displayed a single line of text before closing (not the usual push dialog)

Windprofiler had connection and was updating after returning to campus.

20191018 WP Connection Issues

Took Verizon card out of Wind Profiler and placed in LIDAR. Disconnected ethernet cable from LIDAR.
Restarted wind profiler and router at 2:04 cdt; data was not being pushed
Cleaned LIDAR

20190912 Lidar

20190725 Computer stuck at reboot

On the afternoon of 7/23 Robert (TCEQ) tried to set remote connection with the computer.  Computer was rebooted and got stuck in the startup (message that the boot up menu has changed in the BIOS)
Data was not collected for the time it was down until 11:10 on 7/25, Data collection resumed briefly and then computer froze again and would not startup.  It finally did after many tries.  Either motherboard or hard drive might be failing.

20190802 Wind Profiler Offline

Computer was off when i arrived. I unplugged the power and replugged in, computer did not turn on. I turned of the two switches for about 5 minutes and turned them on. The computer turned on after this step.

20190718 Connection Troubleshoot

Router reset & Ethernet cable replaced.
Overhead lights went out midway through troubleshoot, switch does not work to turn back on, breaker not tripped, everything is still running.
Seemed to be connected, was unable to verify prior to leaving.

20190716 WPComputer Restart

WP not online or logging, computer was restarted after being frozen. Teamviewer access was verified prior to leaving.

20190708 Computer down

Computer was off when i arrived, turned on
Unplugged router and verizon wifi
Restarted the computer twice
Unplugged from the switch and put directly into compputer (made it slow)
Unplugged ethernet and computer worked fine for a few minutes

20190619 WP computer

For Eugenia
Wind profiler computer would not power up. Tried using the Beaumont computer as a back up but it would not start up either. Took both computers back to campus.
Brought back La Porte computer
Beaumont computer will not boot up windows. It starts to but then it stops a few seconds later.
La  Porte computer has been acting up and we want to have Beaumont as a back up just in case.

20190508 WP computer

Wind Profiler went offline (got struck on reboot) probably after storm the previous day.
Router was restarted . NOAA was not receiving data for the previous 36 hrs even though we were collecting and pushing.  The files they were receiving were 0 size
Data at both NOAA and TCEQ was showing before I left the site

20190423 Lidar Computer

There was a wasp nest inside Lidar case.  It was sprayed with wasp killer
Could not made Bl-View run graphs.  Will need to fallow up

*Bl-View started to work properly the fallowing day.

20190315 Lidar computer froze

Lidar computer froze 3/14/19.  It was restarted 3/15/19 1st thing in the morning.
UPS is beeping and might need to be replaced.
Cleaned Lidar glass.

20190305 Site connectivity

We could not stablished connectivity to TCEQ internet connection.  We did have connection using Verizon mobile card.
Wind profiler files would not push to NOAA or to TCEQ.
 We did not restart the computer remotely because we were afraid it would not come back as it  was proven  when it was done on 3/5 right before we left for the site.
The computer was restarted - it still giving a message that the operating system is not where it is looking for.  Jason suggests that the mother board might be dying.
Re-started the router - It got the connection to TCEQ internet back on.
Cleaned the Lidar glass.

20190214 Lidar computer froze

Lidar computer froze at around 3am.   I was frozen in the log in window.  Computer was restarted and data collection resumed
GraphXM is suddenly working again , not sure how last visit it kept giving an error message.

01312019 Returned Parts and Computer reboot

Wind profiler computer was off since 1/29/19 around 11pm.
Computer was rebooted and it turned back on.
Lidar glass was cleaned
Returned MII and amplifier that was taken for troubleshooting.   The amplifier never went to Cleburne.  MII mother board was switch since Cleburne was was faulty.
TX box from MII was left at Cleburne so it can be sent to Jim Turba if Cleburne's MII is sent for repair. Cable returned.
Tried to restart Graph XM but got error # 3343 message"Unrecognized database format"

Picked up final amplifier originally Beaumont and MII (from La Porte)  from troubleshooting the Cleburne profiler.
Cable for MII as well but is falling apart that might not be useful

20180128 Wind profiler NOAA data

The data in the MADIS website looks like it had been updating every hour .  I believe this has something to the government shutdown (Dec. 22, 2018 to Jan 25, 2019) .  The last 3 hours it appears that things are back to normal.  I will wait for a day to make sure but if things are not back to normal I will contact MADIS.  White graphs  with missing data is MADIS.  Black graph is from local computer and the one display at the TCEQ public site.
